Much
of what we do is behind the scenes. We meet once a month, and we run
fundraisers and activities throughout the school year. The PTO isn't a
huge time commitment - and even the smallest contribution makes a huge
difference. From supplying brownies for bake sales to working the cash
register at Book Fairs, there are plenty of opportunities to help.
Plus, getting involved at NEMS is a great way to stay connected to your middle-schooler
without interfering with his/her growing independence - and it's less
likely to cause teen eye-rolling, sighing or facial grimaces.
You can join the PTO at any time. Dues are $5.00 per school year, which covers insurance and costs for PTO activities.
